SPCA is another word for Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. This is a safe haven for animals being mistreated in either physical or mental abuse. These animals are either euthanised to prevent future pain if the problem can't be fixed, or they are fixed up and put on display to be adopted by responsible parents capable of taking care of them with trust that they will not mistreat them. These facilities are located all over America, there is actually an SPCA here in Dallas. Adoption through these facilities are usually not just taking them home, sometimes it could mean future care for the animals, means of medication, extra love, and maybe even 24 hour care. An animal is a blessing and are much more capable of this than humans can give them credit to be. So please if you feel capable and you are willing to change an animal's life, please adopt at the SPCA, only if you feel capable of the requirements.
